20 miles, HR 153, 10:30/mile by skaas at Garmin Connect - Details

This will be my longest run before the race. I felt great the first 7 miles, it was hard to keep the effort easy. I ran miles 7-12 with Kevin. I first started to feel like I was putting forth some effort at about mile 10. Nothing ever really hurt, just got tired. I think I started to dehydrate towards the end. I only drank about 20oz of Perform (450 calories)every 6 miles. I had a waffle after an hour and 3 gels during the run. My total intake was about 900 calories or about 250 hour. I really just wanted some cold water, it was still hot out. That last hour of the Ironman is going to be a serious test of will.

  2. I noticed that too, but I wasn't going to say anything about it. Didn't sleep much last night after 3 gels at 10pm.

  3. Both are so true...but at the end of the day, we are both just gonna be ironman finishers (hopefully)
